Dr. Magda Gohar-Chrobog
Dr. Magda Gohar-Chrobog is a scholar and consultant with a unique combination of cross-cultural background, academic capacities and professional experience in Germany, the United States, Singapore and the Arab world. She holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies, Philosophy, and German Studies from the Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn, Germany.
Dr. Chrobog pursued research and teaching activities on the Middle East at numerous academic institutions worldwide and has authored articles on issues related to the Middle East and the Arab world. Her main areas of expertise are cross-cultural communications and competence in dealing with the Middle East and the Arab world.
Since 2015, Dr. Chrobog has been especially interested and addressing cross-cultural issues related to the worldwide increase in Medical Tourism, especially with regard to patients from the Arab world traveling to the West for treatment. At medical institutions in Germany and the United States, she holds lectures and seminars on the subject of ‘The Arab Patient & The Extended Family’ to raise awareness among doctors and their staff of the special characteristics of the Arab culture.
A native Egyptian, Dr. Chrobog is fluent in Arabic, German, English and French.
